Huge congratulations to Ashling McEvaddy for scoring the Inspiration of the Month title!
Ashling is currently going to the Intermediate level classes. She used to do Yoga for 7 years and thanks to that she’s super flexible and known as “the bendy one” 😉 She also felt in love with Exotic Dance and you won’t see her dancing in shoes lower than 8 inches! She recently discovered that performing on stage is a great fun too and never misses an opportunity to show off her amazing skills during our Pole Craft – Students’ Showcases and other occasions.
Because of busy university schedule Ashling is not always able to come to our regularly scheduled classes so she decided to purchase a pole for her apartment and practices a lot at home. We find it extremely inspiring that despite all odds Ashling does everything she can to follow her passion!
Here’s what Ashling would like to share with you about how finding a passion for pole dancing made an impact on her life:
“I joined The Coven family nearly a year and a half ago. I had wanted to start pole dancing for years but had very little confidence and felt too intimidated. It wasn’t until a friend of mine said that she would go with me that I finally got up the courage, and I’m so glad I did!
I never thought when I started that I would be performing regularly and even thinking about doing competitions. Back then just the thought of wearing shorts in public terrified me, so I couldn’t have ever imagined that I would fall in love with exotic pole, wearing skimpy pole outfits and eight inch Pleasers! And none of that would have happened if it wasn’t for The Coven.
Edyta and my fellow students made me feel welcome immediately, and showed me that there is room for everyone in the pole dancing community. I am still working on my confidence, but I’m getting better every day. I am learning more and more how to appreciate my body for what it can do, and to not berate it for not being perfect.
I would recommend both pole dancing and The Coven to absolutely everyone. I can’t imagine my life without them now!”
Thank you so much Ashling for your inspiring story!
